Mauresmo gives France 2-1 Fed Cup lead

Amelie Mauresmo rallied in oppressive heat to beat Mara Santangelo 6-7 (5), 6-0, 6-4 Sunday and give France a 2-1 lead over defending champion Italy in the Fed Cup semifinals. With court temperature in Castellaneta reaching 111 degrees, players put bags of ice around their necks on the changeovers to stay cool.
