USC QB Booty hopes to play at Notre Dame

John David Booty said he plans on throwing Tuesday in practice, and the quarterback hopes to play this weekend when No. 13 Southern California faces rival Notre Dame. Booty sat out USC’s 20-13 victory over Arizona last Saturday after breaking the middle finger on his throwing hand the previous weekend, when the Trojans (5-1, 3-1 Pac-10) were upset by Stanford.
