Wallace scores 42 as Bobcats top Knicks

January 31, 2007

New York Knicks' Eddy Curry, center, is fouled as he drives between Charlotte Bobcats players Emeka Okafor (50) and Gerald Wallace (3) during the first half of an NBA basketball game in Charlotte, N.C., Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007.

Gerald Wallace was a step quicker — and about a foot higher — than everyone else. Wallace scored 17 of his career-high 42 points in the fourth quarter, including four rim-rattling dunks, and the Charlotte Bobcats pulled away from cold-shooting New York for a 104-87 victory over the Knicks on Wednesday night.
